What is a Virtual Assistant?

There are many definitions of what a Virtual Assistant (VA) is. AssistU, who formalized the profession, defines a virtual assistant as “A highly trained and skilled professional who, as a support and growth partner to entrepreneurs, business owners and busy people, provides high level, long-term collaborative administrative and personal assistance without having to be physically present in the client’s office.”

Who works with a VA?

I work with professionals of all kinds. Authors, consultants, coaches, executives, and entrepreneurs. If you want to add more balance to your life and be successful, you would benefit from working with me.

Why work with a VA?

As you grow your business you will discover that it is impossible for you to do “everything” that needs your attention. By working with me you will have more time to grow your business, balance your home and work lives, have more time with family and friends, and seek new opportunities.

Is it less expensive than hiring an employee?

YES! When an employee is hired, in addition to salary or hourly wage, you still have to administer payroll, benefits, etc. as well as have office space, equipment and furniture. It’s expensive and demanding.

I offer a pay-as-you-go option, where you would pay only on the actual amount of work I provide or I can offer you a retainer, where you buy a predetermined amount of time each month for lower rate. Those expensive, pesky expenses of an employee would be gone!

What kinds of work does a VA do?

I provide administrative and personal support to you and I can personally do what you need doing. And what I can’t do personally I can make it happen. Here’s a list of tasks that I can take care of:
